I have an Actron Scanner and have been monitoring the data. The MAF and MAP sensor readings are low for my area sea level. I have had P0171 and P0174 codes repeatedly and a hissing noise from the driverside intake., Jan 28, 2020 · Driving around with the MAF off, your truck will try to learn the new settings and will trigger other sensors. It will be a domino effect so to speak. The MAF sensor tells the truck how to mix air & fuel, if there is something wrong the truck won't know it cuz there is no MAF sensor so the truck will not mix the fuel & air properly.
